β¨ About Me
Hi, I’m Lucia Engel β¨ storyteller, creative arts therapist, and founder of the Soul Spark Community.
I’m also the designer of The Sweet Spot ~ a place to Spark your Story through neuro-emotional resiliency ~
People often describe me as sparkling, creative, and strong.
Over the years, I’ve discovered that my true strength lies in guiding transformational processes; building neuro-emotional resiliency through art, story, movement, and nature remembrance.
And in that work… I found something precious.
β¨ A Sweet Spot — the place where healing, creativity, success, and freedom come together.
πΈ My Journey
For 15 years, I lived in Guatemala, raising my daughter Yaiza (now 18). She was my first “why” ; the reason I built my projects and businesses.
Creativity became the foundation for everything. I started a Fair Trade jewelry project that supported 7 families for 13 years, helping them create a better future for their children. Yaiza often came with me to play in the camps, and our creations were even exhibited at the Denver Art Museum.
I also opened three second-hand clothing stores, where local Mayan women and I sold also handmade clothes. My daughter and her friends played dress-up and built little houses in the shop.
When Yaiza turned 12, we returned to Holland, and my work transformed into a Sparkling Self-Love Storytelling Business, guiding heart-led changemakers into empowerment. At the same time, I might have ADHD, and love having different projects to feel spacious and let my creativity run free π , I worked in a youth prison, engaging with deeper trauma work, and began teaching neuro-emotional resiliency in schools through playful, creative programs.
These years bore fruit π. They taught me that when we weave art, play, and community into our lives, we uncover strengths we never knew we had.
π The Golden Thread
Everywhere I go, one truth runs through my work:
β¨ Emotions are what spark our lives. They are not mistakes, not even the darker ones; they are messages, waiting to be transformed — love notes from within.
And stories? π They are the keys that unlock, release, and transform them.
Today, my “why” has grown. It began with my daughter, and now it’s for all children; the young ones, and the children living in adult bodies who still long to be seen, heard, and free.
Through my own journey, I’ve learned this:
β¨ When we give voice to our silenced parts, we don’t just heal; we spark.
And that spark changes everything. π«
Your story was never meant to silence you.
It was meant to set you free.
β¨ With warmth and a heart-felt smiling spark,
Lucia Engel πΉ
